of Fly Fishers Certified?
The FFF is the certifying body for all fly casting instructors
in North America. There are two levels, Basic and Masters as well
as a Two Handed Casting Instructor qualification. Candidates for
all levels must pass a series of performance tests as well as a
written exam. Testing is done both on the instructors casting and
teaching ability and is extremely stringent( higher than a 50% failure
rate). As with any activity there are many self proclaimed experts
out there but very few who have undergone proper training and are
qualified as professional instructors. The FFF program offers a
consistency of proper information anywhere lessons are taught It
has been our experience that a one hour lesson with a professional
instructor will put you far ahead of many years of practicing bad
habits on your own. FFF certifications are held in a variety of
locations across
North America and are open to anyone who is interested. Anywhere
that you fish in North America you will be able to find FFF certified
