Guided Trips

Imagine you are on a family vacation or stuffy business convention. You sneak away in the afternoon to fish the evening rise on a beautiful trout stream. Or perhaps it’s a daylong float down a rushing Steelhead river or a 4×4 adventure to a backcountry trout lake. Could be a helicopter ride to fish the estuary of a remote coastal creek in pursuit of our unique sea run Cutthroat trout or a trip for Salmon where you are as easily distracted by the Bald Eagles as you are from the Salmon.
Sounds too good to be true? Of course not, Whistler offers a quality flyfishing experience with all the amenities of a world class resort to come home to at the end of the day. A guided flyfishing trip in Whistler is a great overall outdoor experience. You will be fishing in the coastal rainforest, some of the most rugged terrain in the world. We often encounter wildlife: Black Bears, Deer, Eagles and even the occasional Moose are seen on our trips.

The strength of the area as a flyfishing destination lies in the variety and diversity of the fishing opportunities that we are able to offer. We angle in lakes and rivers ranging in size from the tiny to the very large. We are blessed with diversity in our species of fish as well. We have Steelhead, Dolly Varden, all five species of Pacific Salmon, Rainbow, Kamloops, Cutthroat, Bull and Eastern Brook trout. Whistler is also a great choice for a family ‘fishing’ vacation. The other members of your group will really enjoy the activities Whistler area has to offer: 5 world class golf courses, beaches, swimming, shopping, horseback riding, ATV tours, climbing, water-skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, hiking, tennis, summer skiing and boarding.

Winter Flyfishing

In the winter our lakes freeze, but we are still able to offer river trips which are an interesting alternative to a day on the hill, or for the non-skiing member in your party. In fact many serious anglers regard March and April as the best months for fishing in our area. Whatever the season, let our professional guides give you a great British Columbia experience that you won’t soon forget.

You will be required to purchase a B.C. Freshwater Fishing License.

We take all of the hassle out of a fishing trip. All you need to do is show up, we provide you with all the necessary equipment including waders, quality fly tackle, and of course flies. We encourage you to bring your own equipment if you prefer. Your guide will be glad to provide anything that you don’t have. We recommend that you bring along rainwear, an extra sweater, sunglasses, and a camera.

In order to best preserve the resource we are strictly catch and release, if this is a problem we encourage you to take your business elsewhere.
